Anyone up for this? I could probably be persuaded. I wanna check out these new drops and berms. Been awhile since I had a proper taco...

Sounds good; I'm in (but you really should ride the new bridges at Burchfield before they finish them). Any time after 5:30.

I will likely be out there this evening doing a little riding, planning the next playground feature, and messing with the s-berm area.

Good to see and ride with some new folks out there today. We have the most haphazard group ride ever, as people come and go over about a 4 hour span. If we could all coordinate some time, we'd have a proper and legitimate 'group'. :-)

Want to say thanks to Brad and everyone else who put in the work on the drops and berms. Things are really taking shape in that section. The first time I rode the big one, I was so intent on nailing the landing that I forgot to look for the exit line, and rode straight into the woods. The features ride very well though. I can't wait to see what's next.

I need to ride out here more often, so I can get my bike handling back up to match my fitness level. You can't replicate the flowy, tight corridor riding of Anderson too many places. After 3 major shoulder strikes and an endo, my shoulders resemble a slab of raw steak, and my ribcage has been better. It's all good though, cause I know how to get to Carnegie Hall...

Same time. Same place. Next week...

Today's the day. Put on your shoulder pads and see how fast you can split the trees.

Hint, you won't know how fast until you miss.

Shoulder pads increase the clearance requirements, and therefor reduce average speed. *Real* mountain bikers have scars. ;-)

I have only a small scab left of my battle wounds from two weeks back. I'll be out a bit early to make new ones.

Cya out there!

By the looks of the raspberry on my shoulder, I may have been going a little too fast.

With all the rain we've been having, how will Anderson be right now?

Most likely a few small puddles and it will be slick on top, but I suspect no major trail damage will occur. Just don't ride the edge of the trail to avoid mud and widen the trail.

Have fun.

I really don't think we have gotten much rain in the area at all. I would guess you wouldn't even know it rained.

Good Morning.

Rider from Austin, TX here. Just dropping by to say hello. Been riding since 2005, I think.
I was involved with http://austinridgeriders.com for a while with races, trail building and leading group rides on Sundays.
Work is sporadic, so I don't know if I can make every Thursday ride, but I will give it a shot. I really need it though, I haven't ridden much in a while and I miss it greatly. I'll be looking up the club rides and such to see what I can get myself into.

See you on the trails,
