Hey - I just went out and tried to bend it into position. I couldn't do it by hand, but a few good smacks with the framing hammer has it in roughly the correct position. I think it can be ridden, and I will try it tomorrow. If you bring that spare seat (and tools to install it), that would give me something to use if it doesn't hold, so I think we're back on track! Thanks ...

I could be out there by 7 ... at the MacNamara parking lot, or at the stunt itself if you guys are going to park elsewhere. Just let me know. If we park at MacNamara, we can try out those new bridges on the way out to Hellboy.

Extra seat and post have been packed. I will be out at Burchfield (Riverbend) around 6 or 6:30 I hope; will see you at the stunt area around 7.

Thanks to the group stunt ride tonight, I have now ridden all options successfully at least once 8) . Reid, I think it is time to build some difficult stunts...

I'm thinking ... but in the meantime, see if you can ride all five options one after the other without touching a foot down. Maybe starting with Pitchfork since it's not so easy to line up the entrance for it while moving. And then of course, there's always riding everything backwards!

That was a fun group ride tonight - thanks to rvd, AllMountin', and Greg Harless. I'm just looking at the videos now ...

I just put four of the videos up on my web site, but while I can see them on my laptop, I can't see them on my desktop computer at all! Can you guys let me know if you can see them or not?

Thank you ...

Grrr ... computers are so annoying! The one that works is using IE8, but so is the one that doesn't work. I downloaded FireFox 12.0 on the machine that doesn't show this page using IE8, and it doesn't show using FireFox 12.0 either.

Giving up for the night ... sorry you guys can't see the stunt rides - four clean rides of Twisted by four different riders, fun to watch.

Nothing in Chrome either.

Just a suggestion, why not use YouTube. It'll work on everyone's computer (and save you some bandwidth)

Thanks for checking on Chrome. I do have other videos working fine on my web site, but I used a different method this time to try to make doing several of them quicker. I used Flash Video Encoder and loaded the resulting .flv files into DreamWeaver, which then took care of the object tags, javascripts, etc. in generating the html file. Loaded the html and the js files up on my server, and it should've worked ... but didn't. I'll try doing it the one-at-a-time method with Flash CS3, I guess. I don't use YouTube, just because I like having everything under my own control and all in one place where I can do anything I want (or can figure out how to do!). My site gets so little traffic that I'm sure bandwidth isn't a problem :-)

Okay, I did it the old one-at-a-time way using Flash Pro CS3 and it seems to be working. Except for the play/seek/mute skin - which is there but does not show in my browser. I will figure that out another time. But meanwhile, you can view the first video, starring rvd riding Twisted, clipped in and making it look easy. It is NOT as easy as it looks ...

No kidding. I rode it four more times tonight, and only one was successful; one hard stunt for sure! On the plus side, I was 100% (1 for 1) on pitchfork.
Reid, are any more videos coming?

I myself haven't tried Twisted or Pitchfork since our group test-ride, though I tend to do The Highway and the low one a few times each when I'm out there watering and weeding. I was there for a while this evening trying to get the new sprouts to survive in this hot weather, but I guess I missed you.

Now that I'm getting the water from the river, using the White Cutoff, I am surprised at the number of riders that go past the Hellboy stunts and down the hill to the White Cutoff and the river - it seems people aren't seeing the repositioned arrow at the top of the downhill, even with the "Remember Me" sign now with it. I think the view of it is blocked off by a few branches as you come up to it. Nothing a bunch of red paint wouldn't fix

Yes, sorry, I do have quite a few more decent ones from that group test-ride, just not enough time to get them done yet. Plus, I haven't looked back at why the play/pause "skin" isn't working. Just a matter of time ...

Okay, just put up a second one, of AllMountin', taken from the top of The Highway for a different angle. I see that he comes up off the seat as he enters the banked curve - I wonder if this helps a lot (or not)? As before, no skin coming through, so refresh the page to replay.

I've seen the guy in that last vid on the trail before. Notice how the front tire hits first off the drop. He's a *beep* hack. Next time I see him, I'll run him off the trail and kick him in the nuts.

Probably partly due to speed, but RVD takes a different line, starting his turn sooner and turning evenly through the wall ride portion. The rear tracks down near the bottom of the feature. This AllMountin' clown basically rides to the end of the stunt before realizing he has to turn, then yanks his bars to the right, and more or less pivots around the rear wheel before slaughtering the drop. He's lucky he didn't endo.

I'm not sure if the steep angle of the turn shows through in the video. That's one sexy feature though. Which do you consider the most difficult line? The challenges between Pitchfork(skinny and elevated) and Twisted(tough entry and techy wall ride) are quite different.
