As for sliding, I agree, that is why I mentioned using caution when leaning.
Consumer, maybe you have a little more knowledge on this, but I would think it wouldn't matter if you had slicks or a tire with tread, if you are going to slide, your sliding, and saying

Sorry, I really don't know. I haven't ridden a bike with pure slicks since I was a kid.
I wanted to try out some road bikes at the ILRA demo day, but with the rain I figured it best not to, lest I damage something.

The weather was pretty bad AGAIN this year. I understand the hesitation. The only thing I checked out was the Epic S-Works since it has the Sram 2x drivetrain.
