It looks like the TT is one lap in the morning (~10 am) and then the STXC around 2, so there should be ~2-3 hours to kill.

Just wondering. I may just chill under the canopy as well.

Not really it's a good 20 minutes to anything from Addison. If it was in the fall you could go apple picking but I think you're just gonna chill.

The S&M Market is only a few minutes away.

Thanks. Although S&M really isn't my thing.
I will just pack a lunch and play by ear. Maybe bring my swim trunks...

Of all the times I've gone there only once was it worth hanging out. Great spot to grab a 6 pack, or hot dogs to grill if your not picky, not a destination though.

I'm registered for the Sport XC race on Sunday. This is my first XC race with Tailwind, and I am a bit confused about how the Sport/Beginner start will be handled. All of the Sport/Beginner races are listed as starting at 1:00. Is this going to be a mass start, or are we starting in age group waves? I assume that at the least the Sport racers will start before Beginners, but it really isn't clear. Can anyone explain how the start will happen?

@ WIll_Ott The races start a few minutes between each A.G. category / class. It is not a mass start for Beg/Sport. They announce your group and line you up accordingly. Good luck... have some fun!

not sure about "dialed" I was out there this morning and there were still some slick greasy spots on the course. the trail also need a little attention to face slappers and low branches.

It's a mountain bike race, in the woods, on dirt, and rocks, and roots.

I'm hoping to get out there tomorrow afternoon to do a bit of trimming. I'm not sure if I can get it all paved by race time, though. ;)

...I think registration is closed on the website, so is there by chance sign up in person for just day 2 XC? Cost?

And also, I've never done a race on a singlespeed, but is there a category for SS in this race? If so, how many laps?

Thanks, any info is appreciated.

www.tailwind-racing.com will have your answers, but in short; "Yes." And..."Depends one what single speed class you do."
