That goes back to my original point that you should have been racing expert instead of bragging on a bulletin board about how fast you are...

I raced SS by the way...

Sorry, this was my 2nd mmba race, and my 3rd ever. Talking with a couple friends with more racing experience, they had said they figured I'd need to be closer to 46-47 minutes to win (Which is where most geared Sport winners ended up). So I didn't think having a goal of 50 minutes was bragging. I'll make sure to move up after this season...

Personally, I don't really care which category you race in. Stay in Sport, move up to Expert, drop back to Beginner, it doesn't matter to me. However, if your friends said it would take a 46-47 minute lap to win Sport...holy crap, they must be fast!! I counted only nine guys total, out of about 400 racers in Sport, that finished in under 50 minutes. And of those nine, none of them finished in under 47 minutes. Regardless, I'm not being judgemental...race where ever you want. Just be aware that there are those that will get upset if you keep beating everyone in your category by minutes, not seconds.

I really didn't have a problem with him racing sport as he didn't dominate the class and like you, I really don't care... none of us our going to Pro and do this for fun. Last time I checked it costs me a lot more money than I could win.

A little humility goes a long way in life. What I had a problem with was saying you think you are going to run under a 50min lap and then posting an explaination of why you didn't after you won your class?!

Whatever... if he is fast, then it will show at other races, like Pontiac this weekend.

If you actually go back and read what I said ^^, I stated my goal was to run 50 minutes. My goal. (Those things that aren't always attainable, but help you push yourself...) I also posted this after someone posted an oh great about having to follow a (slow) SS rider, which you should probably take note of. Back to the 50min subject. Did I say I would run a 50 prior to the race? No I did not, and yes I think if I had an open trail I could probably run one lap around 50, then my second would probably be considerably slower as I'd be tired. (Hence me getting worked in Expert/Elite who ran two laps, another statement I have already made.) I won't be at Pontiac Lake this weekend, I have family obligations, but you'll see me at plenty of races this summer.
