Too low, IMO

50-55lbs. 29x 2.1
I'm racing a 29x2.3 tubeless rigid and weigh 220lbs. 2 weeks ago, I rode the 35mile course + 1.5 miles at 30PSI. Time was 2 hr, 55min.
Last week, rode just the course with 50 psi and had a time of 2hr, 31min.

Yeah, I'm going with 50-55psi most definitely.

Thanks 2WheeledWarrior; I'm doing the 24 mile course bib#546. See you at the race and good luck

Rainy rainy in GR right now, supposed to rain more tonight, too. What's the expected course conditions/how well does it drain?

Just FYI, both weather.gov and weather.com give pretty good current info. You can also look at the radar and see if there is active precipitation over a given area.

The trail usually dries fast because it's all sand, the gravel on the roads will puddle if it rains hard.

Good news and bad news...

The good news is that Rick was out on the course this morning with one of these:

Bad news is Jesse Riegle was out on a training ride, and didn't see the flashing lights, and now we have this:

That's why Rick serves the beer AFTER the race.

Nice. From what I see the whole course is under water. Everyone should just stay home...

In my opinion, most of the racers should look forward to a moderate rain all the way up to about 6:00 am Saturday. You can always dodge a few puddles. However, if it is dry, there is no dodging Shaw Rd. IMHO, if you aren't rolling wide rubber or in the first 50, you will likely be walking a portion of it. Thanks for adding that "character builder" Rick, seriously :-)
