There were plenty of people riding it today when I was up there to drop stuff off, and a first-hand report said that it's just fine. I'd say go ride. :)

Nope, tell the people at the gate that you are here for the race and it'll be complimentary. (It's actually covered by the per-racer fee that we pay for use of the park.)

Thanks for coming out everyone! Once again we had great weather, tasty and local food and beer, and an excellent race. This event goes specifically to fund work that the Metro North chapter does to develop and maintain our local trails and without all of your help we wouldn't be able to keep doing what we do. Thank you!

I'm trying to decide on SS gearing for this race. I use 32/18 on my 29er but if there are no brutal climbs and a lot of flatter straight sections at Addison Oaks, I wouldn't mind a bit more top end. These old legs can only spin so fast.
Thanks in advance.

I like running a 2:1 on a 29er at Addison, but it sounds like you run a lighter gear to begin with. I would go up one cog in the rear based on what you run at Pontiac.

Thanks Paynful, All I could find was a 16T (shout out to Trails Edge - great shop!) so I will also be running 2:1

No problem. How did you think you did?! Was 2:1 good for you?

According to my GPS, it was on the close order of 6.95 miles.

And thank you for holding off the rain, making the race a fantastic time!
