Maybury Farm needs YOU!

Postby Dan_Harrison » November 9th, 2004, 3:07 pm

The barns have been delivered, but they're still not on their foundations. There's a lot of work to be done yet.
Saturday, Nov 13 at 10am, there will be a meeting at the farm (separate entrance off Eight Mile, just west of the Park entrance). I'll be there to get a handle on what's upcoming, and will report here. Feel free to stop by and join me.

Want to help rebuild a barn?
The two donated barns are now on foundations, but there's a lot of work yet to do. Right now, they've got lots of old plywood and rotten siding to be removed, so that new siding can be installed.
If you're handy with a hammer or a crowbar, call Gil, the head volunteer honcho, at 313-300-3888 (cell) or 248- 348-6200 (office: Falcon Construction), and let him know what you can do, and when you're available.
A bunch of us will be there tomorrow, 11/14 at 9am to start tearing off. Feel free to join us.

There are already several horses & goats, plus poultry, so it's starting to look like a farm again. :D
