Adopt A Trail Program for WMMBA

Postby RickPlite » April 10th, 2013, 8:45 am

The WMMBA has implemented an adopt a trail program where persons, teams or businesses adopt a section of a trail in our chapter. We reached out to race teams first and we're very happy to report that everyone was more than eager to join the program! By adopting a section of trail the chapter hopes to minimize large trail days of regular maintenance such as trash removal, branch trimming and removing deadfall. The adoptees will also greatly minimize the amount of burnout each Trail Coordinator faces. If anyone would like to participate we are still searching for adoptees at the Ionia Recreation Area. If we get enough volunteers perhaps each one will only be responsible for a half to one mile of trail. Contact us for more information.

Here are the current adoptees, thanks these groups when you have a chance!

Cannon Brewing Co. We adopted the Cannon Township Trail at the last WMMBA meeting but now we're not even on the list.
