Volunteers are needed to assemble 400 bicycles. Orchards Children's Services will be giving away 400 bicycles, helmets, and locks at its 4th Annual Bike Day.

Volunteers will help assemble bicycles. Orchards is asking anyone with socket sets and wrenches to bring them, but they will have some tools on hand, and plenty of other logistics assignments for folks to dive in to. The project will occur rain or shine.

Founded in 1962, Orchards Children's Services serves over 4,000 children each year providing foster care, adoption, clinical, medical and home-based services in the tri-county area. Orchards also reaches out to the community at large and provides several programs including: Youth Inner City Baseball League, after school arts, field trips, and educational programs.

Just post up if you are interested. I will let the organizers know how many MMBA members can assist..

If you are not doing anything this Saturday - come out and help assemble some bikes for kids. Bring your tools, stand etc. They also need people to move bikes etc so even if you are not comfortable assembling they could use your help.

11 to 3 are the official hours but I am sure they will take anything.
