Addison Oaks Trail Day 4/14/12

A Trail Day will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Addison Oaks County Park by the Clinton River Area Mountain Biking Association. Rain date will be the following Sunday, April 15.

A reroute of the Fall Line (Telemark) hill is planned, as well as general start-of-season trail clearing (depending on available manpower).

Participants should assemble at 9 AM at the Concession Stand, and sign safety waivers and get work assignments. Participants should bring sturdy shoes, water to drink, and be prepared for trail clearing (nipping and pruning brush) and benching work. A bike may be helpful for transport to the work area.

We are confirming free entry to the parking lot that day. Stay tuned.

The pass phrase is "klaatu barada nikto". Failure to use the pass phrase will likely result in the total annihilation of the planet.

Due to park worker availability and other factors, it's Saturday, rain or shine. The one exception will be lightning. Please dress appropriately.

Depending on the number of people available, it shouldn't take more than a few hours, and we'll have new trail to ride!

I had sciatic pain afterward. Couldn't stretch it out, but the hot bath sure helped. I'm guzzling water right now so I can enjoy my post-trail day beer.

showing through . I had a bit of back pain myself a long hot shower and a couple Hendrick's and
tonic and a bottle of 01 Ridge Lytton Springs and Im good to go .

I never made it to the beer. I slammed a bunch of water and went to bed around 10 cuz I was falling asleep on the couch. I figured the hydration would help me get better quality rest than the beer.
