Thanks for sharing. That log bridge is fun, still intact and quite solid still.

Rode Arcadia Dry Hill Trail yesterday 10/1 for the first time. Fantastic trail, even with several down trees from recent windstorm. I remember ones at miles 2 and a couple around mile 8, half dozen down across the trail in all. Still a great ride.

with the upcoming weather conditions sounding positive for the holiday, will there be any group rides scheduled at Arcadia? Or do you still avoid the area for the hunting season?

Rode a couple of laps yesterday and what a great trail! I had a blast. There was quite a few people there, which was nice to see. I will be riding this trail every chance I get when I visit family.

From what I rode, the trail is in excellent condition. A few soft, sandy spots, but what else do you expect for northern Michigan during a drought? Super kudos to the builders. That is one fun trail.

Where is the trailhead for this trail? I am headed to Sleeping Bear dunes camping this weekend and want to hit this up on Saturday as I have heard so many great things!

You can find the trail head on St. Pierre road right off M22 just north of Arcadia.

Just watch out for the trees about 3.5 miles in going counterclockwise.

I will be staying about a mile from the trail from Aug 5 to Aug 11 if anyone wants to meet up for a ride!

Never ridden here before, was up at Interlochen for a few days and stopped here to ride for the first time ever. Great shape, didn't find a lot of deep pockets of sand. Pretty solid trail, not much overgrowth.

Got to ride a couple of laps today. Trail is in great shape other than the sand is a bit loose, especially in the meadows. Cleared a downed tree between markers 5-6. Quite a few people out there for a Tuesday morning/afternoon.

Having so much fun riding this great trail last year, I'm going to visit it again next week, but when I was there
before they were having vehicle break-in problems. (there were signs posted before, so I will look for them?)
Does anyone know if this is still an issue ? Should I park down the road someplace instead of the trailhead ?

Please advise.
I love mountain biking because I haven't found anything that is more FUN !!
Of all the paths you choose in life....make sure some of them are DIRT !!

Commuting miles in 2012 = 1065
Total road/trail miles = 2800
Number of rides = 152
Trails ridden = 28 different in MI, 2 in Oregon
