I'm in for tomorrow afternoon. I'll be coming back from Dundee about 3 or 4:00. I can't be sure when I'll be there exactly.

Let me know ...I was thinking of going out there tomorrow sometime. I was thinking of riding down the 275 bike path to the trails.

So, I didn't hear positive responses from anybody here or at work. Show up at the parking lot about 5:10, lot is empty.

Ride my usual lap and a half, get a call from Rich and meet him at the beginning of the East, we ride that and take CV over to the West and cruise thru the Wetlands. Coming back into the lot we run into Mike (DeJ) and ride Buckshaver
and Dragon's Tail with him. Stop at my truck and pop open an ice cold Oberon, sitting on my tailgate, BSing with Rich.

Travis (troth) comes riding up (haven't seen Mike or Travis all summer) and it was great to see them both as we caught up on our summer lives. I didn't realize that Travis and Rich had never met. Glad I came out, got in a great many loops, saw old friends. Fed some mosquitoes.

The trail is in AWESOME shape right now, dry, hardpacked, fast and free of all dead downfall or overgrowth.
Go out and ride it and you will be smiling, just don't stop for more than 30 seconds unless you like donating blood.

Santa Cruz, great to see you and Rich out there yesterday, especially since you were riding and not working on the trail. Like you said, the trail is in great shape. I haven?t been out there much this year, but it looks like it?s finally getting some regular riders.

Rode to the trail from home, taking the 275 bike path. On the way back, got honked at and flipped off by some lady as I legally crossed Haggerty at Mich Ave. The same crossing where a woman was hit and killed a month ago. Made eye contact with her before I statrted to cross, and as soon as I beagn crossing she started creeping forward trying to make a right turn on a red light and almost bumbed me. Unreal. If you take the bike path into MT, be very careful here. Wish the county would make it a no turn on red.

Met Mike in the parking lot this afternoon about 4:20 or so. We did one of the usual, South, East, CV, West and part of the Wetland. MAN WAS IT HOT :icon_aaargh:
Saw two other bike riders, one came up to his truck when I first arrived, was that you 169whitey ?
Cold beer afterwards. :D

Yea that was me. I should have come and introduced myself but I had a bit of an emergency to deal with. Time sensitive issues always come up late on a Friday before a holiday weekend. I got there early too and had a good ride. I didn't see anyone else riding but the trail is in great shape. I wasn't able to ride all of it but what I did seems to get better every time. You guys do a great job with this trail.
I'm saddened most about missing the beers at the end. We'll have to reschedule and allow time for the most important part of the ride.

I'm going to head out there sometime Monday if anyone else is in town. The weather sounds like it'll be much more agreeable.
