If you are talking about the bridge that goes over the Clinton River in Heritage Park,
then yes it has been completed for awhile.

Yea I corrected myself... sometimes it is hard to remeber my own name : )

That will remain a problem every time it floods expect it. if you hug tight up against the north
wall you can walk your bike. It is better then having to cross Van Dyke in that area which can be
a b!@#h, down right dangerous at times.

Not worth the cross right now to add a few miles to my ride. But it is nice to know the bridge is done :icon_thumleft:

I have been trying to get a route that gets me up to Riverbands and back from my house

I was talking with the Utica DPW director and he states the they are trying to get federal grant money for a 8 foot box culvert to remedy the problem. But they are trying to find a solution otherwise if they can't :icon_thumright:

It is all good my current route is @ 22 miles .... Getting to RB should push that close to 34+ round trip that is just rail to trail paths.

If they use the same "brain trust" that designed the Canoe/Kayak dock, I would not hold out much hope for a good fix for under the Van Dyke bridge ,.
It will be almost impossible to enter the dock from upstream or down stream without dipping over. This is because the maximum water flow is at 90 degrees to the ramp. If you have a short surf kayak and can roll, try it this spring. After you roll here is a little still water on the down stream side of the ramp you can use for a escape exit.

Rode by the trailhead yesterday, decided to see how bad it was... looked ok for about the first 50 yards... then mud pit, unfortunately lots of deep ruts- somebody is riding this. Turned back and convinced a nohelmet to turn back too.

Thank You! Trail is not ready yet another week and it should be ready as long
