Could anyone who has ridden CRPT since the most recent reroute (a couple months back) with a GPS (or GPS bike computer) please email me their raw data at c0nsumer@nuxx.net? I'm working on a CRAMBA map of the area trails and I need some GPS data to dump into OpenStreetMap to get started.

Just emailing me the raw .GPX or .FIT files is just fine. Don't worry about trimming them to only include this part, I'll take full files from your ride and pick out the data that I need. These will be anonymized, so don't worry about any of your personal or training data being included. I'd love to get a dozen or two if possible.

Thanks very much!

Aaron and I were able to get out this morning and install the bases for the new benches. They
will have to setup over night and then we can install the backs tomorrow evening. Here a few
pics of this mornings activities.

Drilling post holes. Thank you Josh and the guys at the DPW, for the use of the power post hole digger.

The bases set in place. Now just have to clean up the mess.

Bases set and ready for backs tomorrow evening.

Been there. Done that. Of course, the last time I drove there, I couldn't speed because there was a cop behind me. Go figure.

Aaron and I went out to the trail this evening, to install the backs on the new benches. Phase 2
is now complete. Here are a few pics.

The new benches with the backs installed.

Look who we ran into, Mike (aka i69whitey) and The Jude, the first 2 people to use the benches.
Rumor has it c0nsumer was on the trail riding and doing some mapping for CRPT :D :icon_thumleft:.

Ha, yep! I was out there at that time... When I first rode by the benches weren't finished and there was tape up. By the time I got back there (sunset) there were complete benches (and LOTS of mosquitos). For what it's worth, there's a LOT of emergency markers out there.

(Beyond whitey and Jude I also ran into mattmtb and sortaslow out there, who I rode with for a while.)

Yup, there are a lot of emergency markers on the asphalt path. I the reasoning behind so many is they
will know exactly where you are in case of an emergency, which is a god thing, I only ride the asphalt to
get from one section to the next. To many people NOT paying attenion on the asphalt.

What sucks even more is that a bunch of them are missing. I'd say that out of the listed 46 markers I wasn't able to find six or so.

Trail was in great shape this morning. Like riding on concrete, the bad part is when you put sand/loose
dirt on top of it, it gets a bit slick. I had a couple close calls. I did notice a couple roots have been removed,
Im guessing it is some runners. Please do no remove the roots, they are left in place for a reason. If you see
someone doing this please let them know not to, in a nice way. Also once this hot weather that we are going
to have breaks I will be doing small reroute, to make the trail flow better and stop the erosion that is occurring.

Water is a very powerful thing. Im sure over time with all the flooding that happens, some are bound
to be missing. Do you know which ones are missing? If so I will pass it on the the DPW.
