Not....... I did the 12 hours solo last year on my NRS and piranha's at 38 lbs and did fine until my rear shock lost its rebound dampening at around 65 mile mark.pogo, boing, boing, boing! I had more trouble getting around big kneed gals than tires.

Tubeless is a fad, just like those paperboy bikes....29ers. You still have to carry a tube.

Has anyone been riding out there? I'm still wondering about the trail conditions and the thorns.

I've never been out there when there wasn't thorns. Getting through without flats is always just a matter of luck.

Ithaca is in the best shape of the year now. (since it is in a low land area and our wet spring it has taken longer than normal to get out there) There has been a few of us doing getting it ready this year as of now it is raked and mowed and a couple of new bridges. I look at riding at Ithaca without some kind of sealant ( ie Stan's Super Juice Etc) is like going to a third world country looking for hookers without a condem. Your just asking for trouble.

I was out last night, the storms from last weekend have blown sticks and thorns all over the place. May try to get out one evening this week or Saturday morning for a little clean up.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we added a teeter totter toward the end. There are two different ways around it. Please be careful if you attempt it because it is a bit steep. Let us know what you think of it.

The teeter-totter is awesome! It's tall for a beginner but that makes it more fun. Lots of deer out there last night. Trail is very dry, I bit it a couple times in the sand.

I got my first thorn a couple weeks ago out there.

I video taped the trail with a GoPro camera and put them on youtube. It's a fisheye lens so it makes the trail look a little less hilly than it is. It's in three parts:

Rode the trail this morning and truely enjoyed it. Most of the trail is leaf covered and quite a joy to ride. Spotted 6 deer.

The only let down was that the trail arrows have all been taken down and deposited at the trail head sign. Also, maybe make a note in the directions that the road from town is called Pine River Rd. and not just River Rd.
