Thinking about purchasing one of those weed whacker tools and heading out this weekend to chop down those burr weeds. You know, the ones that like to cling all over you and chafe the heck out of your skin. If anyone wants to help out, that would be appreciated.

Craig when are thinkg about going out I should have some time this weekend

I am planning on Sunday morning. I was going to go tomorrow, but it looks like it's supposed to rain.

I was thinking about around 10-11 am. It all depends on how I feel as I have been struggling with a sinus problem and this low pressure hasn't been helping.

Actually, I won't be able to make it. I forgot that I had to be in Ann Arbor tomorrow. I may just get out there during the week and cut a little at a time.

Rode 1-4, driving range, hedgerow, and museum to night...at least one tree down on each section. I thought the rain might tighten up some of the sand but not really. If any one has a chain saw I would be willing to go out and help clear the trails.

Quick ride tonight rode Museum, school house and tunnel till we remove the tree off of museum there is a work around back up from the blockage and ride reverse untill you hit the tree again. school house was clear just some head hunters and slappers. do not carry high spped onto tunnel there is a leaner that you can not go over or under while on your bike.

I am going to make another attempt to get out there this weekend and cut back some of the overgrowth. Unless it's been done already. I may have family coming down, so this might change. I am not going to set a time because I have no idea if/when I will get out there. If someone could post where the worst areas are, that would help out a bit.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but there is an announcement on this site's main page for a possible new trail just minutes from Jackson. I thought those that ride ES would be interested in a trail even closer to Jackson. I would love to attend the open house, but I have class that night. Please get out there and show your support for a new trail nearby. Tell other mountain bikers to get out there as well.

No idea what this was about, but saw this on the school trail at the trail opposite of the berm.

Might have been some sort of treasure hunt for someone. I recall seeing other tags along the trail, but didn't pay any attention to them. All I know is that I made it, according to that tag.

Anyone been out walking or riding the trails this winter? Wondering what condition they are in and if any clean up is being planned for this spring. I am so ready to start riding....
