Rode last night. Trail is in great condition except there is a tree down about 0.25 miles before you cross the pavement to get to the section with the armored climb. I had to pick up my back and walk over it. The tree lays over the path twice and each section of the tree is ~9 inches. It also brought down a tree with ~4-5 inch diameter.

I was going to ride tonight at Lakeshore because it's closest, but Hickory does better in the rain, anyone know what conditions are like at the moment?

will probably get that tree in the next day to two.. trail is very wet could use a day of sun and no rain to dry it up. Plenty of sand and dare i say mud ... I only rode two sections.

Also took 5 inches off the (now infamous) offending tight pass fallen tree stump... Hopefully this well help prevent further injuries, although it IS STILL POSSIBLE to bust your knuckles and other body parts going through there, but only if you're careless, IMO. If you have a problem with or would like to comment on this action please PM me directly; we don't need another week-long b*t*h-fest on this forum. In the future we'll consider adding a log-pile or other speed scrubbing feature to help slow riders before the approaching hairpin turn since there are always skid marks before the turn...

Thank-you
