I agree, great call by dave for terminating the ride due to conditions....thanks dave!!! The trail was great but it tested your legs due to it being tacky!!!!

I just rode lakeshore park trails today,at first it was a not what i was expecting, but the more i rode it was bretty cool.Itsreal twisty and winds around tight trees.Theres not a lot of fast down hill, but there are a lot of tight switch backs that are very cool. The rock garden is insane, the log piles are awsome, and the skinnys are kik but.All and all i rate the trail beginner to intermediate, just because there are not a lot of technical stuff there. But everyone should try this trail you wont be disappointed!

Next Saturday, Apr 10th, is the annual Spring Cleanup day at Lakeshore. See http://mmba.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=96516 for more details.

The Lost Loop and 754 will be closed for portions of that weekend for bridge maintenance.

Awesome riding day out at the farm today, and it seemed a lot of people were there enjoying it also.
Tacky, but not a puddle to be seen.

I rode pace with a really nice father and daughter out there... sorry I disappeared like that.
I was fading fast after a roll at the Hick this morning and figured if I didn't sprint the last half I was never going to make it.

Excited for spring cleaning next week!

ColorVoyeur - That was my daughter and I riding with you. It is always cool and more fun to ride with others!!!

Going back to Lakeshore or ILRA this afternoon with my Son (9) and daughter.

Lakeshore was in great shape on Friday.

The gate to the back parking lot is open now.

We've had some reports of some fallen trees due to the wind storm yesterday, so use caution. We'll try to have the big stuff cleared up before the trailday on Saturday.

Fair amount of rain here last night, and more on the way.

It's unlikely that the trail will be dry enough for the Novi Nights ride tonight.

Loren, I rode it this morning before the thunder storm blew through about noon, and the trail was alright with a few small puddles here and there. I don't know how much water it got after we left as it was really booming.

I rode the trails today and they are in excellent condition, only a couple damp spots. There is a bridge out for constuction, but you can take the shortcut around.

The new bridge is in place, along with an incredible number of major and minor improvements throughout the trail. What 50 enthusiastic volunteers can accomplish in a single day is inspiring, and humbling.

Thanks to all!

There was a fair amount of rain in Novi this morning so our usually scheduled Tuesday night ride has been canceled.
