Hiked it last night and it wasn't as slippery as I expected. But there are 2 large trees down 1/2 mile in on Limeys just after the big bowl.

I rode at 9AM today. There was plentty of ice under the layer of snow but still rideable. There is a big tree down on the top of the downhill before the last uphill to the crater. It was a little tricky getting back on the bike then go right into the downhill after climbing over the tree.

Yep, saw that tree on Tuesdays ride. Before we cut it out we want to take a closer look at it to see if we can use it as an opportunity. Of course, if we do make a trail feature out of it we will cut a chunk of it out to use as a bypass.

Rode this morning - trail is pretty well packed, and fast in places. Very good winter riding conditions.

Absolutely perfect this morning. 1 degree at 7:30 and perfect riding conditions. We rode with studs, but the trail is packed down enough that I think you could ride without them in most sections.

I was inspired by your 1 degree riding, and also rode tree farm today. But it had warmed up to 19 degrees at 2:00 when I started.
Trail was indeed perfect, but I froze my face off. I need better headgear.

Did anyone notice the tire marks that went straight into the creek? This is right by that short off-camber section that runs parallel to the creek.

That would have been Little Denny playing a practical joke on us. No water landings took place.

Novi was very nice this morning.... all the ice had a couple of inches of light snow on it and traction was not a problem. Nice. oh yes I forgot...a big tree down right before the crater. its a couple of feet around so a big saw will be needed.

Ibis, anything to report on Novi from yesterday or today? Would like to get a ride in if it's not too deep out there.
Regards,
Larry

Ditto from ILRA report, mostly doable but very exhausting, 1 tree down on the next to last downhill just before the crater.

Rode yesterday, pretty rideable, snow on top of compacted base is a little slushy, and makes for a good workout!

Only one set of bike tracks I could see...c'mon folks...let's ride the trail so we have a good surface

I thought about riding there today, but thought it might be either slush or ice, is there still a good amount of snow for tomorrow? Three day weekend, I might be game for tomorrow.
