Awesome!

There is an old dead fall tree about 15" dia. 1.35 miles into the West Loop, right before that bench cut climb.

Other than that, all of the nasty sand was gone thanks to the rain and, to my surprise, there were no puddles or mud to speak of. You know the West Loop was really dry to just absorb the rain we got today. It was a fun ride, I did two laps.

I'm planning to come to the trail day Saturday. Let me know if I should bring my chainsaw (Stihl 025, not too heavy to carry for a bit).

A big thank you to those who showed up at the trail head this morning to work and did an awesome job. All the West is done, most of the Orchard loop and tons of the crappy olive shrubs were removed from the meadows loop. The big trees were removed from 9.1 & 9.7 on the East and 1.35 on the West. Thanks again all who helped!!!! Lunch wasn't bad either.

Rode North & West last night @5:30pm. One tree down on West at 2.4 (just past the first skinny and large mess of trees just cut from last major storm).

LOTS of rain in Holly last night, but not so much in the way of wind, so expect the trail to be wet but relatively clear.

Cleared all the dead fall from east loop except for a chainsaw tree at 7.25 that's handlebar high but in an easy to see position. Didn't ride the return, cut out at 12.5 as I had an appointment. There was no mud at all.

Anyone on the trail today? Planning on riding Sunday. Wondering if I need my wetsuit or not.

I just cut the trees off of the meadows and West and there was no mud. Just finished riding all of the East and West and they r excellant, may be showing favoritism. :)

Agreed. Trail was perfect today... damp, tacky and no mud. The trail soaked up 3 days of rain like a champ.

Did 6hrs of massive trimming on the meadows loop today. Sorry didn't rake behind myself. There is a motorcycle tearing up the trail at about 8.7

Smallish tree down on West Lakeside loop. Just after the wood matting and before the last climb out. It is ridable (some chainring witness marks on it), but comes up kinda quick and at a weird angle. Other than that the West and North loops are clean and fast. :D

On a side note;
Is the Wilderness Trail still open to bikes? Does the Holly Chapter (or MMBA for that matter) have any involement with the trail? I rode it a number of times a few years ago but haven't thought about going back there until recently.
