Road today. Entire trail was clear. The last gnarly downhill approx. 1/2 mile from the end is now extremely gnarly. No good defined line & very dry, slick & gravely. Watch it there folks!

This is my second year mountain biking. I have a Scott Aspect Trail 29er. On the 3rd in the late afternoon was my first ride on the Poto. I did miss the first poto section from the parking lot. However I joined up with it at four and went past the stone fire place, maybe someone can clue me in about that. Trail markings were fair, Though were the trail comes out to the road (x2) I was a unsure where to go. And twice I ran into a "Shortcut sign" and was not sure if I was leaving the Poto. I did manage to maintain a 10.3 mph pace. And had to hoof it twice up some climbs. But other than the above mentioned, I love this trail too. There is a little bit of everything here. HardPack, sand, roots, ruts, berms, and wood bridges. I did not find the bugs bad, however it maybe due to the 90+ temps. Love this trail and hope to ride it again soon. Thank you for the trail crew that keeps the trail clear. I had no problems. And that plastic weave is interesting. There is two local trails that I ride that could use it.

The stone fireplace is on the Silver Lk Loop not the Potto, the easiest way to explain the Potto is, stay left except at Waterloo, get a map, when you see a landmark, stop and get your bearings, follow the most beaten path, or to make it easier just ride or follow someone that knows the trail. If you end with 18+ miles you did it. Happy Trails

I made it out there this weekend. Trail was in good shape. Didn't see evidence of much rain.

I noticed this a few rides ago, just forgot to post it. Well, one of the posts has come out/rotted at the NB trail entrance at the mini-lot on Patterson Lk Rd. I suppose a vehicle could now drive down the trail. I am sure that is possible in lots of places, however.

Next up, on the curvy downhill after turning away from Kelly Rd, near Beaver Lk. There was a branch encroaching the trail, pointing uphill. You have swerve/lean left to avoid a good scrape. A handsaw would do it.

Trail was in great shape yesterday morning and I was having a lovely ride until I rode too close to the inside and a root reached out and grabbed my foot. I hit it hard enough to tear open the top of my shoe. Guess I'll just have to go buy new one, rats... ;)

Thanks for the props on the pic! :)

The deadfall tree is just beyond Max. A short walk up the trail if you park there. Encountered late yesterday evening.

There are 2 large trees down that are elevated approx. 2.5 ft off the ground shortly after you enter the trail from the shortcut loop. It will take you by surprise-be careful. Chainsaw required.
