I don't know why he would have done that, confusion with your plates maybe.....If you told him that you were getting a Michigan plate soon he may have been nice since. As soon as your plates change to Michigan, your non resident annual (that he would have sold you) would no longer be effective, and you would be forced to purchase a resident pass port. That would be the only reason that I can think of why he didn't charge you. But on that note I'm glad you like the park and I certainly hope you come back, I'd be glad to get you squared away on your park pass issue.

Wake up happy.

Rain was just enough to tamp down the sand, fast and grippy on Sunday evening.

Trail was in great shape this evening! Very few puddles, tacky & fast. THANK-YOU to whoever is responsible for filling in the perpetual mud pit after the mini rock garden before the big sandy climb!!! It's perfect.

I'd call it "sneaky tacky". No grease spots, but that damp sand will crumble under you when you least expect it. I had three near-endo experiences last night even though I was going pretty darn slow.

TRAIL WAS IN GREAT SHAPE TODAY. Also thank you to whoever filled in the hole after the rock pile. It sure was HOT out there today. Noticed the Specialized demo trailer there when we finished.
They were at Novi yesterday and we demo'ed a couple bikes then. Thanks to Matt and Dave who were very helpful and knowledgable.

For those of you who took the chainsaw training last year here at the park, now is the time that you can use that certification. We had a significant storm last night and all out trails had trees come down. I don't know how many trees came down on the mtb trail or where they are, but i'm sure some came down. I know that I will be cutting on the hiking trails and paved trails today and tomorrow I will be at the imba land managers day tomorrow, so to make a long story short I will be tied up with inside work for a few days. If you are available to ride the trail and give a report on where trees are down, come out and cut up some trees, or just help with trail cleanup it would all be very appreciated! Thanks in advance.

There was a tree down just past the log stunt. That was before all *beep* broke loose.

Watch your mileage and post up any obstacles.

Chris, do hills count as obstacles?

DNR_Maybury wrote:Just a quick udate on things here at the park. We do have a Demo truck from specialized that will be on hand here 9/11/13 from 3 pm - 7 pm in the 8 mile lot near the baseball field. I'll post it again later when it gets closer to the 11th. I know i'll be clocking out a little early and going for a test ride!

I got one test ride in then helped the Specialized team break down their tents as the storm rushed in.

Just one ride convinced me I like $10,000 bikes better than my $1,000 bike.
