First time back to Bloomer in a couple years, there have been many awesome improvements since then. Thanks to Dustin for the Tour de Bloomer, nice being able to find my way around now, I'll be back much more this summer!

I rode last night, trail was in great shape, minus the tree down on the one downhill, (probably the fastest part of the whole trail.) Looks like a work around is getting worn in, might just make sense to leave it since that'd be a lot of work to pull that tree out? Also the new berm is awesome, makes that section less of a killer, any plans for other berms in that section? It could get really awesome with a little work.

I noticed some of the new berms Monday night. Very nice. The one where the new section down by the power lines meets up with the old trail near the sledding hill is especially helpful. I overshot that turn every single time prior to the berm going in.
The workaround around that downed tree seemed fine to me.
As of Monday night, the head-high tree across the trail over in the Enchanted Forest/River Trail area was still there, with another one about 2 feet off the ground a little further up. The first one is dangerous, while the second is just a nuisance.

I don't think that's even part of the park technically. The new berms are awesome, especially the one in the "lung busters" section. With a couple more that section would be a lot quicker!

Rode it again tonight, loops in great shape. Agree that the downed tree ride around could be a keeper/nice trail feature.

Rode Bloomer today. It was *fun*. Regarding signage, I have a couple of suggestions.

Heading for marker 25, there is a fork in the trail and the little bike arrow points to the left. This takes you out on a two track that has *another* fork, but no sign/arrow telling you which way to go (although right is the correct choice). If you go right at the first fork, you stay on the singletrack and won't get lost. So, this should be cleared up.

At the fork that leads you to the lung buster, there is a sign with bike arrows going each way. My suggestion is to add signs telling you what you're getting into. For example, the left arrow would be accompanied by a sign that says, "Lung Buster." The right arrow could say, "Easy," or something like that.

I forgot what it's called, but the crazy switchbacks down the hill right after the upper ridge--when you get to the bottom, there are several options for a way to go, but no sign. Probably a right arrow pointing to the lower ridge trail would be helpful. I didn't even know this trail was there until I rode with the guys today and followed them. I thought you just dumped out onto the doubletrack.

So, those are my signage suggestions. :-D

Today was a *great* day to ride.

Hello Everyone....Very happy to hear everyone likes the trail.......we know we have more work to do on marking the trail......Sorry this hasn't happened sooner....Everyone who volunteers at Bloomer has a full time job...sometimes 7 days a week....We are workaholics .....which sometimes gets in the way of working on trails... ...We also need to order more signs and stickers for directions and so forth....that is in the works......All your suggestions are great and much appreciated ..so please be patient with us... we also like to ride our bikes sometimes LOL...it's rare I know......We plan to remove the extra arrows on a few of the signs to help with directions...Until we get more direction stickers...as for a sign at the bottom of the big switch back that leads you to the lower ridge trail?..... ....we had a sign there....hahahaha.....and someone either ran it over or just broke it off because they didnt like it......SOOO....another sign will be installed soon....Currently we are clearing the trail of the over growth......It seems more people were unhappy with that, than not knowing where to go....So...We are addressing that first....Most of our trail days are a last minute thing...As in.....I text Derek on my way home and say...Wanna work at Bloomer?.....So please don't feel we are blowing off.......When we get around to fixing the BIG switch backs....We will be begging for people to help...So stay tuned....In the mean time.......Go ride Bloomer and enjoy our work.....It makes us happy..

I plan to buy some hand trimmers next week so I can at least do a little trimming while I'm out on some rides. It's amazing how quickly some of that stuff grew.
