Stony Creek was almost okay today. The Pines should probably be given another day, but the other single track except for the Swamp Cutout was good.

The Swamp Cutout has a tree down sitting at about axle height, right at the end of the downhill entrance. It could catch one pretty off-guard. It's around 8" - 10" or so, and seems to be rotted.

Plus 1. Great job! The Pines has been opened-up nicely -- it's like an amusement park ride. :D

Side note: Did anyone else see the little Stone Snowman?

There's a bit of a body-slapper on the Back Nine.

Found a pair of sunglasses on top of Mt. Sheldon. (I hope they belong to the lovely lady in the green top!)

I decided to take advantage of the cool weather and I talked Mark Senyk into helping me tonight.
We trimmed the little singletrack up to Mt Shelden, The entire Snakes, and the entire Back Nine trails.

Enjoy.

The Pines are too greasy to be fun today, the rest of the singletrack was great.

BTW

IMBA was in the house...

Stony was a mixed bag this evening. The Snake was perfect, The Pines was too soft and slick. (We chose not to ride it based on reports from people who had.) The Roller Coaster had a few Surprise! slick spots. The Back Nine was a gas, but seemed the rocks and roots were a little more prominent -- perhaps the rain had washed away some soil?

Plus the usual standing water on the perimeter 2-track.

Friday and the weekend should be very good. *thumbsup!*

The Pines trail was too wet and greasy tonight to allow any flow at all.
The rest of the singletrack was pretty good, although there was a few greasy corners out on the rollercoaster as well.

There is only one blow-down tree that I found and it's on a little-used section up on the top of "3 Gear Hill".

I avoided all the usual wet 2-track, but I'm certain the usual holes are holding quite a bit of water.
