I run, ride, and hike at most of the parks in the Troy / Rochester Hills area.
I guess I could counter by saying that a lot of people must have seen or heard of the Leadville mountain bike films and want to ride these days.
Offtopic, but the nice thing about running is that a new pair of shoes for the season cost me maybe $120.00. I still haven't been able to afford the $$$ it will cost to upgrade to a 29'er, and I'm spending significant $$ this season on lighter backpacking gear to shave weight.
I still enjoy all of them, and am looking forward to my 3rd time at Iceman in Nov.
