Hows the icey patches? Road riding in GR Friday night wasnt bad by any means but you did have to watch for ice.

A thin covering of snow, very few icy patches and a lot of cold!

Ground is very firm, traction is only really an issue on some of the climbs where roots and rocks are hidden by the snow. I did manage to make it up all the way or most of the way on the climbs on my SS so anybody on a geared bike should be just fine, my buddy on his geared bike only had a traction issue on one of the climbs. The downhill turns have a suprisingly good amount of grip at speed if you just let it go.

Thinking about riding on Sunday afternoon... Any ideas on what the trail conditions are going to be like? We got a lot of rain the last couple days on the East side...

As long as we don't have a monsoon late tomorrow into Sat, the trail will be great. I'll be out there Sunday....pedallin from home. Early forecast looks good.

Yankee is still in great shape! There were more cars in the parking lot over the weekend than there are in July.

My friends and I rode Yankee Springs today for the first time. It`s a great trail and was in good shape for riding. Thanks.

I remember hearing about a new year's day ride. Any details out on that? I'd like to try to make it (if it's not too early).

Anyone been to Yankee after the big blizzard? Had a great ride in Ludington, MI on NYE and then the snow came, but we have way less than was forecast. Was wondering if the Thursday Friday warm up will mean riding again this weekend. Thanks for the info if you have any.

Look for a post from me Friday. We didn't get a lot of snow down here...with the forecast looking to melt it, the trail should be good this weekend.

I hear there is a running event at Yankee this Saturday. The racing starts at nine but I am not sure how long they will be out running.
