I got in about 1.5 hours yesterday...of clearing debri for the section between mile markers 5-8, and took care of some other face slappers. The trail will be sweet for the TT!

Thank you brother.

I posted to the Volunteers Thread, should have also posted here.

The trail day is tomorrow, April 6th, 9:00 - 12:30, please try to show up a little early to get signed in. We go rain or shine, bring hand saws, pruners, rakes, and shovels, we probably don't have enough in the tool trailer to cover everybody.

This year we have some demo bikes too!. Thanks to Grand Rapids Bicycle Company, Jamis will be there in the afternoon with a full line up of 650b bikes and some 29ers for you to ride. Also, our friends at Trailhead Cafe will grilling dogs and burgers for the trail work volunteers.

Trailhead Cafe is providing food only for trail workers, not those that are there only for the demo bikes, so I'll be giving out "meal tickets" to each when you sign forms in the morning.

A lot of precip this week, any chance Yankee will handle riding tomorow?

You know it! We got hit with a crazy blizzard/rain/sleet mix that started about 11:30 and carried til just before 1:00. I know that there were quite a few that stayed away b/c of that. The trail was nearly perfect by 3:00. Yankee can take the rain.

Thanks to the two TC's that were working on re-doing some water run-outs yesterday. The conditions for the TT look to be perfect.

I rode yesterday late afternoon and the trail was great. considering the amount of rain over the past few weeks combined with the TT being held the day before it was awesome. The trail was mostly dry but with just enough moisture to maximize grip. There were some area's with leaves but did not present a problem. The sand was also not a problem. Yankee is an amazing trail....thank you to all that maintain it and keep it open for all to ride.
