Rode Island Lake today and it's in great shape. There is a low hanging vine in the first 0.75 miles that may grab someone's head if they keep it up too high, and there is a big tree (needs a chainsaw) down around mile 3.75.

I've been busy with other responsibilties lately so I haven't gotten to any of the downed trees. I will post when I get all of the trees cleared. Just keep posting them when they fall. Thanks

HEADS UP!!! In case you haven't noticed there is some work being done on the blue trail just before spring mill pond. They are improving the road back into the gravel pit. Have to watch out for vehicles, tractors, etc.

Trail looking OK out there?
I'm trying to con other dave into finding a bike for me to ride so I can check out the trails myself.

I'm amazed you DNR guys don't have a designated DNR bicycle to share and ride the trails. Maybe add it to budget considerations next year? :D

Thats a good idea. I've never even ridden a mountain bike on the trails here. Anyone care to give some lessons and loan a bike for a ride?

Hey thanks to Brian and everyone that helped with the lost boy on the trails recently.

DNR Dave,

We should have you join the Friday night rides. 6:30 pm. What size are you? I am sure someone can bring a bike for you some time.

Thanks,

Claudia

I think Claudia was hoping you'd know what size bike you'd need, S M L XL or that perhaps you'd say how tall you are and your inseam and we could figure it out for you close enough so that the bike would "fit" right.

Larry

Wouldn't a proper tour of the trail constitute work?
