did a road ride within ILRA thursday evening & jumped on the trail in a few spots to see what conditions were. in a nutshell - mixed. you can easily ride some parts that are in great shape. however, you'll quickly come up to sections that are nowhere near ready for traffic - very soft, puddling, still a few small spots of snow. i turned around & came back to the road. given the rainy weather this weekend, i'd say ILRA has at least another week (or more) until it's ready.

I surveyed both loops last night. Recommend avoiding blue. There are at least a dozen 'get off and walk' points that are really chewed up.

Yellow is mostly rideable, but there are a few soft spots. I agree with Friend or Foe... let's give it another week especially considering the upcoming rain.

F.Y.I.
I found a single key for a hyundai at Trailhead today. It was by the trash can. It is now at the Park Office located on the corner of Kensington and Grand River.

SC, hard to say exactly. They bounced out of the jersey after I'd been all over blue and yellow. I'd say yellow would be my best bet. I'm gonna go back out tomorrow and have a gander. Thanks for keepin an eye out. If you do come across them u can just hide em somewhere I can find em.

Thanks

My personal opinion, no mud and a few soft spots, it's good to go.

Good shape.

A few puddles to ride through in low area by road before spring mill pond. Other usual low lying areas a bit mushy as expected. Deadfall sticking out into yellow on the turn right before where that big blowdown was last year which created a temporary U shaped reroute. Between mile 1 and 2 I think. Barely too big and wet to break - tried - needs a saw.

I cut that branch out with a handsaw so the corner is clear as long as you weren't talking about the big dead tree just as you come into the corner?

Other than that I hear the trail is looking very good.

there's a dead tree just before the 5.75 mile marker on blue that is one good wind gust away from falling onto the trail. right now it's hung up on the wires that parallel the RR tracks &/or another tree. also, on the access trail from the green oak village kiosk there's a very large pine down right in the middle of the trail. a ride around has formed to the south side of the tree. overall, the trail is in great shape. a few scattered pizza cutter remnants that still need to be worked out - no puddles or mud.
