Western: Greenville Shearer Road Trail

Did Shearer and then took the paved trail over to EC today-what a great Fall day and a great ride. Both trails were in perfect condition. The City of Greenville did a 1st class job on this new piece of paved trail that connects the two trails.

Where exactly does the paved trail come out, south of Shearer? Is it off of Greenville Drive (bypass) or Hillcrest Road?

The trail starts at the SE corner of Shearer and Greenville dr.-easy to find....

Mucho thanks to whoever raked/blew the first half of the trail. My first SS experience there on sunday was awesome (except the face-first, unplanned dismount from the log skinny which left me with a fat and bloody lip, a stiff neck, and a frozen shoulder )!

Great trail ! About half of it was leaf covered, otherwise the trail was in great shape. I'm a beginner so the trail was plenty technical for me. I survived two loops with only a few tree rubs that I saw coming and was able to slow down enough to avoid getting knocked off the bike. I'm looking forward to riding it covered with snow!

The leaves were intentionally left to help protect the tread surface from the elements,and user erosion during the wet months ! Glad you liked the trail.

We rode all of Shearer Rd tonight. There was no mud or water. There were 3 trees down that can be easily bypassed. We did'nt even get dirty!

Edwards Creek is real good on the S. side of the Creek,but avoid crossing over to the N. side

Yeah the snow is about the consistency of soft serve ice cream. I walked a bit of it today and could not follow the trail through it,just around the 1.5 mile mark I lost the trail ,so if anyone finds it could you please bring it back.
I'm going to try to pick it back up again tomorrow. I have not been updating the conditions because they have not really changed untill today,and no one has been riding there. Will update weekly or daily as Spring nears.

Rode Shearer road trail today. Fantastic job preparing for the milkjug races. The trail is in fantastic shape and runs fast. Thanks again for all the hard work put into this trail.

Nice job grooming for the race. We came down and rode Saturday....everything was in great shape

Glad someone finally nailed down the entry boards on the pit skinny. However, there is now enough space in between for a 1.95" tire to drop right in causing a scary and painful fall. Any possibility that can be closed up a tiny bit???? (Please!?)

The paved connector is quite nice too!!!
