tRAIL CONDITION

AS OF 7-22-06 THE PARK WAS IN AWFUL CONDITION DUE TO A WIND STORM WE GOT THE PREV. MONDAY. SOME TRAILS WERE BLOCKED EVERY 200' OR LESS BY VERY LARGE TREES. IT WAS NOT A GOOD TIME AT ALL

Also it is open all year. No hunting -- great place to ride during deer season. Group rides every Thursday all summer. Starts at 6:30. Also group night rides in the fall and Spring.

Just though I would check. It will be chilly also. I may still go for a little ride. Hopefully the hunters have all passed out by now.

Trail condition -- 4/5/08 -- hiked the trail. There are still large sections of ice and snow. Where the snow has cleared, the ground is firm and has drained. This trail should be good to go after the rain slated for 4/6-4/7

Open for Spring

as of 4/7/18 Deerfield is 97% ridable. There are very few snow patches left. In those area with snow, the trail is wide enough and dry enough to ride around the snow. Riding the covered bridge trail is not possible. There is still snow pack over the whole trail. I spent 2 hours out there yesterday.

Excellent conditions. Did not check the back hill on the covered bridge trail. I just assumed it was wet as usual.

Good to Great grooming conditions for classic skiing throughout the park. Last Groomed 2.10.10.

The trail is ready to ride. The long loop after the covered bridge is wet and typically is until June. you can ride the short loop around the empty fisheries pond. The low spot on the interpretive/disk golf trials has been filled and is ridable. If we get snow, please stay off the trail until it melts off.
