Wow - I shudder to think of how many Strava-Tards have modded trails to get faster times for their Dork-Quest.

I'm loving these adjectives...now adding to my vocabulary...lol

Looking to hit the Merrill trail on 9/12 and wondering if anyone has a condition report? Did the storms hit GR as they did the east side of the state on Wednesday?

GR got blasted. Flash flooding on all over. Don't know how long it takes for Merrell to dry out but would be surprised if it's open already.

Is there hunting allowed at Merrell?

No. There are signs posted there so hopefully it is not going on. I could not imagine a hunter would even consider hunting in an area where there are a bunch of skinny spandex wearing dudes flying around on bikes...

Hunting is allowed at Island Lake so that doesn't really apply.

Thanks, Mike D.

9-24-13 left our chapter chainsaw next to the WMMBA trailer in the merrell parking lot unattended for 5 minutes or less and it's gone. Hoping someone picked it up with the idea of contacting us and it wasn't stolen. (clue: guy on cell phone next to trailer with bike stuffed inside his car, gone when we returned)

Ummm, yeah, no kidding. Commenting that skinny spandex wearing dudes flying around on bikes doesn't really seem to phase the hunters at other trails.

Carry on....

That's crap! I would be watching Craigslist. If you have the serial number of the saw, you might even leave this info with any local small engine repair shops as it might just show up for a tuneup 1 day. Wonder if the azzhat who stole it has ever heard of karma or not biting the hand that feeds you.

Hopefully the chapter gets their saw back either way!!!

That shortcut past the zig-zag on wilderness is pathetic. It hasn't been closed off yet, but it didn't seem to be used too heavily. Trail is in excellent shape but could use some rain.
