Thanks

The trails never really close, they are posted "closed" when muddy or wet but not gated. Just use some common sense before heading out. We recommend waiting 24 hours to ride after a rain storm. Merrell, Upper Mac and the Game Area are prone to be wet even after a rainfall of 1" due to some high clay content areas. Luton seems to handle 1.5" ok. You can ride the CBurg Ski Area or Yankee in the rain! The sandy soil at these locations make it the perfect choice when in doubt. A little trial and error goes a long ways. If you start riding a trail and you are leaving deep tracks in the trail behind you it is a good idea to turn around and head elsewhere.

Upper Mac does have signs up making the trail closed, and has a chain across the trail head right now, but this is the only trail with this.

I walked upper mac today...it looked good but there are some small juicy spots yet. If there is still work to be done on this trail I will gladly help...I live 10 min. away!

ended up riding last night. there was one wet spot we had to walk, other than that there were no other mud holes or standing water i couldn't wheelie over.

that being said. this Merrell trail. i had a megaboner 95% of the ride. it's AWESOME. the Siren leg is far and above the best trail section i have ever ridden. props to anyone and everyone who had a part in making this place happen.

Without a doubt, the entire area received a measurable amount of rain. Hopefully everyone hits the sandier trails today/tonight like the ski area or Yankee.

We're doing Custer. Looks like Kalamazoo got lucky and stayed pretty dry!
