That should still work but if I'm not there don't wait for me. The trail might be a little slick in spots but I don't think we are supposed to get more rain.

We are meeting in the old student lot, nearest to the softball fields.

Thanks, it was my pleasure. Hope everyone made it through OK after I had to leave. Not sure how much more you completed. Once you are familiar with the trail you will see where there are multiple opportunities to bail or skip sections.

Rode the entire loop for the first time in a few months. I like the improved flow of the trail. Last year the first section seemed a bit like the intervals at Bloomer or Grubers. The new trail, however, seems to utilize the ridge better and you are able to carry some speed in different areas. Looking forward the the fall race series. 8)

(almost hit a couple deer that seem to live in the first section).

Glad you enjoyed the trail. It has really changed over the last three years as we have added, tweaked, and added some more. True, you don't get much rest but I think it is faster than a lot of people realize. We break up some of the singletrack with the double track and field sections so there are short sections of recovery. We have a couple of more tweaks to make but I doubt there will be much more trail added.

Steve- Is there a map for this trail? Is it clearly marked? I don't want the group I am riding with to get turned around or switched into BM.

There are no signs but most of the course is easy to follow due to the worn path. But you may pass a section or two of short singeltrack side trails. Let me know when you are going to be there and I'll see if I can join you.

Today there was a tree top down across the end of one of the optional sections and some low hanging branches as you climb up to the football practice field.

Trails are in great shape today. Dry and fast, the sand won't be bad in the corners for another few days.

Is this trail in the trail guide? I didn't see it but I'm not sure if maybe it is listed under a different name.

I rode it the other days and it's a fun little trail with a lot of elevation change.

No, it's not in the trail guide. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you found your way around OK. We finished the short reroute late this afternoon. All it does is make a former 180 turn into more of a radius.

The trail this morning around 11:30am was clean and F A S T ! ! ! :D WARNING: use caution when you first enter the trail :o ! One of the first down hill curves after the football field has an apple or pear tree dropping traction robbing obsticales... or energy boosters depending on yer sugar level . :D rolled over afew of them and almost lost it. Other than that.... if you wanna ride LOHS ,hit it later today.... after the rain it may not be this nice for a few days.
