What I like most about clinton river is growing up and remembering a lot of the trails from when I was 12-13 years old. My friends and I spent a lot of time back their. Now 20 years later it is my most favorite trail in the area.

I have to say, I really enjoy it whenever I ride it, but I still need a guide. :-D

Di I would be more then happy to give you a personal tour. I'll even ride my bike   .

Just look for the big yellow sign In the tree that says "Advanced Skills Area". It's pretty easy to see. WOW!!
THANK YOU :D :D . I take that as a great complement, considering the awesome trails CRAMBA has.

I went out this morning before it got to hot out, and flagged a small reroute.
I should have it done by Monday morning.

Current trail. This is coming down the ridge hill from Jaycee Park. The bridge
with a 90* turn after it. With all the traffic the trail now sees, it is becoming
quite eroded. With everyone slaming on their brakes to make the corner.
Image

This is the newly flagged line. It will solve the erosion problem and improve the flow.
I never did like the corner.

Excellent! I thought it looked like a new line was developing there anyway... This'll really make flow nicer there.

I rode Friday night and would have to agree the new line is a great idea. Do you guys need any help? I think I saw Aaron on my way out that night. I didn't stop to say hello because there was another rider tailing me and turns out he had an alternative power(besides his legs) retro fitted to his bike to propel him down the trail. Hmm

How difficult would it be to construct berms on the switchbacks to improve the flow? (Like @ Stony in the Pines) This is the only section that always slows me down. Its seems like its always loose and difficult to stay upright at almost any speed. Just a thought.

It'd be a lot of work, but I agree that they'd be very welcome. If we want to get a berm building crew together for this, I'd be glad to help. I'd just hope we can get some direction from folks with berm-building experience, because it's not something I've done.

Did this person have hair or crew cut/no hair?

Berms are in the plans for the switchbacks, this fall when it's wetter . It's just to dry right now
everything turns to loose sand, they would be blown out in a week. My plan is, if they need, is to armor them with slabs of concrete. Help is always appreciated for projects that size. I will post up when we are going to do them.

Yes, they are alot of work and we will need a crew when the time comes. I've built berms, albeit for motorcycles. Insight and help from others with berm building experience is always welcome.

Aaron and I got up and out early, to finish the new reroute...well a least I did. Aaron blamed the better half for not setting the alarm   . For a small reroute it was a pain in the *beep* . Saplings, vines and deadfall.
Neither of us has ever seen vines completely cover the ground in a mat of vines. We literally had to chop and
cut a path through them , crazy vines. Anyways, the new reoute is open and the old trail reclaimed. It's
good to go. The group of riders who came by when we were finishing, said "it's saweeet" :D ! Here are a few pics from this morning.

The Weed Wrench got alot of use this morning.

How long is this new bit? I'm just curious because I'm wondering if I'll need to update the route on the map or not.
