Yes, but the nice thing is that we currently have the legislative session on our side, so it's very likely that this bill could die.


So where does this stand currently? Did the 2 bills not make it out of committee?

Just a thought here - if what former state senator Ken Sikkema is right, the most dangerous time for us with regards to this bill is between the Nov election date and the end of the legislative session in December in which some of the legislature is in lame duck session which enables many to move bills out of committees onto the floor (discussion on UofM NPR radio this afternoon).

Perhaps, but doesn't this session end in December, and doesn't the bill end with it if it doesn't go through *all* of the process by then? If this is so, then this would most likely be a very good thing for us.

The McMaster stuff is going nowhere, at least for now. Next year when all this lame duck gets out of the way, it could come up again, but there is very little to it at this point.
