[More information. And, I find it very ironic that I battled Russi to preserve the forest land at Oakland University. He won and in return bulldozed swathes of 120-year old forest land to build another campus golf course. Todd]
Hello Trail Users & Enthusiasts,
Those of you who are interested in the Clinton River corridor through the
greater Rochester area should plan to attend one of two presentations being
made over the next two weeks. The presentation is the result of a year-long
effort to explore the greenway opportunity of the Clinton River and the
Clinton River Trail corridor of open space through the City of Rochester and
the City of Rochester Hills.
A series of public workshops collected input from residents and users. The
corridor's potential for natural beauty, recreation, historical preservation
and water resource protection was studied.
The result is a vision and visual presentation of a greenway corridor known
as The Clinton River Way. A multimedia presentation will be made by Dr.
Gary Russi, President Oakland University; Jerry Carvey, Rochester Hills Land
Preservation Task Force; and Bill Potere, Greater Rochester Chamber of
Commerce.
The public is invited to view the presentation when it is made to the City
Councils at their regular sessions:
Wednesday, February 19, 7:30 PM, Rochester Hills City Council. 1700 Hamlin
Road (between Crooks and Livernois)
Monday, February 24, 7:30 PM, Rochester City Council. 400 Sixth Street.
This promises to be a very interesting and informative presentation. I hope
to see you there.
