updating DH Bike

Postby classifieds only » October 2nd, 2010, 7:48 am

My winter projects include some work on my old school DH bike. A part of this project will be getting rid of the large chain ring and replacing it with one more suited to current courses. So my question is what size front chain ring are you running on your dh rigs,
thanks

38 or 40 depending on how my rear suspension is set up and how much pedaling there is

36 to 38 is standard on the wc circuit right now. I have run a 34 36 and 38 this season all over this area. I think a 36 is perfect. Good mix between top speed gearing and bb clearance.
