MT Holiday DH race series

Postby cape » May 14th, 2013, 3:37 pm

Mt Holiday in Traverse City, Wednesday Nights, May 8- June 26, 2013

lifts run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cherry Capital Cycling Club sponsors the event. Racing for the remaining 7 races is free if you join Cherry Capital (you can sign up on Wednesday nights, there is a table set up for it in Mt Holiday's Bar when you check in) it is $ 20.00 to join. There currently are 3 trails, everyone takes a bunch of free ride laps and we time a couple of race runs, with usually nothing more than a line in the dirt and 2 hand radios. There is always time after to make more freeride runs, as the lift runs from 6:30-8:30. All bikes/riders are welcome and the trails can be ridden on anything ( last year someone raced a coaster brake beachcruiser and did well).

It is super low key and not competitive but is well worth it as it is a great time. Beer league!

From the FB page:

Saturday March, 8th @ 2pm

"Downhill Dash mountain bike race. Come race through the berms, launch the table tops, and try to beat your friends to the bottom.

Entry fee is only $10. We have snowmobiles bringing us to the top again."
