He wasn't actually arguing anything with any merit, he was arguing semantics about terms and techniques, like when someone argues the fine differences between a j-hop (or whatever it's called) and a bunny hop.....

arguing with 3 or 4 different people about what a "scrub" is and whether it can be accomplished on a jump vs a drop is pretty ridiculous, the only reason I even participated is because I have done EXACTLY what he was saying couldn't be done.....that is if I understood his semantics and petty arguing over whatever terms he was using.....

So yeah, I don't mind poking back a little more at him, it's not like I was the first or only person to dispute his goofy claim

Yeah, yeah, I read it all. My point is that you guys have to exercise at least a little self-control; otherwise, a moderator will have to act like she's *beep* off and start warning people or locking threads. Just sayin'.

Hostility much? My argument was very clear, and your only refute is, "I know what I know." Well guess what, I know what I know as well, and I would bet if I took video of you "Scrubbing" in most situations you do, you would either A) Actually being scrubbing off lift created by something on the course, or B) Attempting to scrub, but actually not creating a discernible difference in the flight path of your bike off the obstacle.

a) you're probably right, I mean, you seem to think you are right about everything else
b) you're probably right again, I mean, cause you've seen exactly what you are saying could never be done, not be done, so you're right.

Pot kettle?

I know what I know? Wrong, I know what I have seen done, and I know what I have done, where as you are sitting there arguing what you know you haven't seen done and how it isn't possible.

My point was that often times what people think they are doing, and what they are actually doing aren't always the same thing. That combined with the best example you could find actually not providing any evidence to your point is enough for me.

Yes I am very fast on a motorcycle, do you keep notes on me in a little note pad in your jorts pocket?

I had raced XC one time before this year. Don't think that qualified me for "Expert/Elite" but what do I know, I'm just a noob right? Or am I a sandbagger? Might want to make a decision on that one. Thanks for checking up on me though, glad to know I'm on your mind...

The last couple pages are examples of what most threads on this board turn into... Constant arguing about the size of their internet *beep*. Usually by the same people.

Shame.

I learned to wheelie my 10 speed Huffy all the way across the local Farmer Jack parking lot. Worked on wheelies on that old road bike all the time.
Then I turned sixteen.
Fast Forward to now, and I find myself pulling wheelies on my MTB while clipped in....That will pucker you when it starts to go over and my normal instinct is to bailout off the back.

Pete.

I'm 32 and just learning to wheelie on an empty parking lot)
Feeling some progress, most of the time have time to apply rear brake to not fall back. But still, that throws me forward and breaks the balance. Will report back in July)
"Flow" is characteristic of the rider, not of the trail.

Great vid. When he missed that rail and sacked it  , that sent a twinge to my sack. The risk ~ reward for that trick is severe.
