Excellent!

Will there be day care? Live bands? Millions of dollars in free gear? Colonic Tents?

Nice work on organizing this event once again James. Looking forward to it!
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realized that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

Cool! I've been lurking waiting on this announcement. I'll be there. Looking to get a new hardtail this year. Having trouble deciding between Trek, Cannondale, or Specialized. This should make it all right!

Are you sure you are not counting the one we did at Olsen park in Ann Arbor? I could be wrong, but that is really rare. :D

Yes, I am sure...it is far less likely for me to be wrong than you. I don't even count the Olsen Park as a true demo (more like a test run).

The first year you our shop was set up along the right hand side of the right hand lot (near the swings and large field), Year 2 we set up near the bathrooms, year 3 (last year) we set up across the parking lot from the bathrooms.

This is year 4...My how time flies.

New for this year, the MMBA will be grillin' out and have baked goods available as a fundraiser. It will be cheap but good and support a (our) good cause. If you would like to help out shoot me an e-mail ( poto at mmba.org).

Bike shops can supply free beverages ( ) if they like.

Don't forget to pre-register! It will save your valuable time and let you get right to the bikes instead of waiting in line and filling out boring forms!!

OK just two and a half weeks left till the biggest demo in Michigan history. Confirmed demo rigs by Trek/Gary Fisher, Specialized, Cannondale, Giant, Scott, Jamis, GT/Mongoose, Lots more demo bikes from others like Look and plenty of SE Michigans best bike dealers.

Make sure to pre-register at Outdoor Athlete.com so you don't have to wait in line with the common folk on the morning of the 9th.

Special thanks to the Cannondale midwest team for voluenteering to mark the Mtb demo trail on the morning of the event.

This will be my first demo day, and I'd like to know how it works. I've already pre-registered, so, some questions.

1. Does everyone just show up and crowd around the vendors and grab a bike and run, or is there a sign up, or take a number or?

2. Do the vendors have any capability of helping to fit a bike to the rider? Like spare stems, spacers?

3. Do the riders just take off on the blue loop and come back 10 miles later, or is there a shorter demo route? I could see really long waits if this is the case!

4. How crowded does it get with the parking? I've seen that lot almost filled up on sunny days, assuming everyone parks at the trail head parking lot. Is there alternae parking/shuttle/just bike on in?

No there is a booth where they take your DL and you then go to the vendors tent of your choice. When done come back to get your DL.

Can't truly answer that but I'm sure they find a bike close to your size and do seat adjustments.

There's a set demo route for you to get a true feel for the bike.

Plenty of parking.

Remember, the Demo happens at the Dodge parking lot, not the normal trailhead. Stay on the park road, past Spring Mill Pond to the railroad tracks. If the Dodge lot fills up, turn left just past the tracks and go down the hill. There is plenty of additional parking next to the lake.
