^Sweet Beargrease. I should get some of those studded Dillingers for ice riding. Do you ride on the bay at all? I'm curious what near shore snow/ice conditions are like after the brief warm up.

BTW- for you tapatalk uploaders. The images aren't displaying due to being over 1024 pixels in size. If you use a photo editor app to resize to 960x540 or similar, I think they'll display in a browser too.

Thanks. You have actually inspired me to look for different places to ride after reading about your Port Austin trip. I'm hoping to check out some of the wetlands out by the Saginaw Bay as well as the wetlands between Saginaw & Bay City. I'd like to check out the area around Port Crescent SP too. I've had the Beargrease for 3 weeks & I'm still stoked just to be able to ride in my back yard vs having to drive an hour to find decent trails.
I'm still working on the picture thing and getting them up correctly on here.

I've been using tapatalk for pic uploads and I'm beginning to hate it. Love It for browsing but it doesn't give me as much control over pics as I'd like. It certainly makes it easy though!

Even better, it goes really weird at times, only shows one level of quoting, and doesn't always show links that are created using the normal [url=] tags.

Speaking of tapatalk, see this new pic preview on each thread?

And the thanks for the reminder Steve R. They show normal on tapatalk, so it's easy to forget to resize.

^Nice. Would probably get you around just fine 90% of the time... in a normal winter.

I braved the winds this afternoon for a ride around town, trails, and Hopkins Lake.

Inspired by 'Cold Rolled', I shaped a ramp out of a snow bank. Not much amplitude, but I didn't shape a landing transition, so...

Banked curve on the Mqt. Snow Bike Route. Just a blast sliding around those in the snow.

Time to check out a new trail this weekend (sorry, not within easy driving distance - but it happens to be my local winter ride stoke):

Finally made the trip to the Thumb yesterday. Rode Lake Huron and the Pinnebog River around Port Crescent SP and then went to Port Austin and rode on Lake Huron to Turnip Rock and back. Conditions on the lake at Port Austin were the best I've ridden in this winter. Almost like riding on dirt. Image

It was definitely perfect conditions for a ride this morning at Bald Mountain. Sorry though, no pics, just video complete with a crash (and soft landing) about 50 seconds in.
