Talking of doing double Highland. I have not done it yet. However I did Poto and Highland in one day last year. That is with a lunch break thou, and I was pretty spent after that. I know that there is people who do double Poto.
And yes few years back I was passed by at Highland by a rigid single speed.

As locals who know the trail and area surrounding. Doesn’t such a poorly written and researched article make you question other articles from travel, technical, and all others?

No it sounds like they got it close enough. PLRA is a great local trail, but I agree it is not a "destination".

Aside from the fact that they mistakenly thought that one business was from Waterford Michigan, what was really inaccurate about the article?

I ride PLRA all the time and I think they got it spot on. I agree that the mistake about the business being from Waterford was the only inaccuracy I saw.
I think it's pretty cool that a guy like Ray Petro has driven all the way out here to ride it so many times.

As a rider from Michigan, I was happy with the article and although a little surprised they were coming to Michigan, very happy they chose to come here and do a story. It's a bit of a bummer when 99% of the photos you see in the magazines are places in the world you will never have a chance to ride, or very little chance. I don't just say that because I was in the article...ha! (I'm on the left in this pic). (fyi, we were there riding at the end of October, beautiful day for Michigan, but yeah, a little cool early on for the So.Cal guys from MBA...)

God I hate that place.

Are there any restaurants that you actually do like? Every time someone posts up a good, unique, local place, you rip it.

sure do, I just don't like overrated yuppie holes like the french laundry, the union and the woodshop....i've eaten at them all and walked away feeling like my wallet was ass raped each time.....

I love sagebrush, blackthorne, black rock, and a few other local joints.

Ha the Sagebrush, yuppie Mexican, good choice

I was told to look straight ahead...and that's what I did. For a lot of the ride we were split into two groups. John from MBA was the photographer for our group and he really liked the trail, as did I (it was my first time there).
