Usually Id say WTF? But judging by the 24" fs magna id say he was probably riding it as a result of a dui and he probably went into a drunken rage when he realized he ran a red light into a car and realized what a dumbass he was. Dont mess with old man dui on the little girls bike he will *beep* you up! Unless your the one with the gun.

*beep*... biker died. Haven't heard of this going down before. Sounds like legit SD, but driver still got arrested.

I love the comments, "He shot someone over being hit 7 times? He deserves to go to jail." I'm sure the guy was counting as he punched was getting to 7, then going to quit attacking him.

Eh, we'll see if they actually charge him with anything. As of now, he's being held pending charges... they could still let him go if they decide it was self defense. I do think shooting the dude was a little bit of an overreaction, mostly because he was still in his vehicle and could have driven away since it sound like the guy was punching him through the open window... but I don't know anything about the guy and very little about the situation, so maybe that was the only way he had of defending himself.

Read title, pictured an 18-wheeler in this thread and was disappointed. :(

Driving away sure does seem like it would have been a better option for the biker's health, but given that the biker was crossing against the light, hit the SIDE of a pick-up and then started beating the driver for his own mistake, maybe the world is better place without this particular biker.

Although shooting him seams like an over reaction it is considered SD. what if the driver slammed on the gas, drug the guy down the road and he was hit by another vehicle, or the driver slammed into another vehicle causing more harm to someone else.

If the guy beating the crap out of you doesn’t take the message of look at this gun in my hand... or is so crazy he doesn’t see the guy pull out a gun while he is "beating the crap out of him" then I believe the cyclist was just that "CRAZY"!!!!

If the guy in the truck didn’t pull out the gun he could have been knock unconscious and who knows how far this crazy biker was going to take it.

Sorry but that idiot got what he deserved. Just cuz I like bikes doesn’t mean anyone who rides one is automatically cool or something.

+1

My mother sides with the dead guy. She claims use of a weapon against unarmed attacker was wrong. I say everyone should be treated as if they are carrying guns. It would make most people think twice before going "crazy" on someone.

This is just my opinion, however I live in Taylor and it seems most people here think they're an MMA fighter. I am a little sick of the fools brandishing tattoos, foul language, and *beep* tough-guy attitudes. I'm sure shows like Jersey Shore get most of their ratings from three specific places....Taylor, Mi., Monroe, Mi., and Seaside Heights, NJ....in that order. I don't get it, how did 90% of stupid wind up in these three places.

...so true and so sad, WTF is wrong with people today...? what happened to the days of a 1 on 1 fist fight, now its 1 on 15 cousins or 1-and-in-a-choke-hold... why my wife carries, makes any BG have to reason with her  good luck with that!

No charges will be issued. Think twice next time you assault a stranger.

He should go to jail. He could have easily driven away. The taking of a life is a serious thing. Even if he was an idiot.

How do you know the driver could have fled the scene while getting attacked? We do know he was being attacked and he protected himself, which is in the rights of the law.
